SS Diaphragm Level Switch

The SS Diaphragm Level Switch is a reliable and durable device designed for liquid level detection in various applications. Constructed from stainless steel, this switch features a flexible diaphragm that responds to changes in liquid level. As the liquid level rises or falls, it exerts pressure on the diaphragm, which activates the switch mechanism to indicate the level condition.

This type of level switch is particularly effective in environments where cleanliness and corrosion resistance are critical, such as food and beverage processing, pharmaceuticals, and chemical industries. Its robust design and versatility make the SS Diaphragm Level Switch an ideal choice for ensuring accurate and reliable level measurement in tanks, vessels, and other containers.

Food and Beverage Industry: The Diaphragm Level Switch is used for monitoring liquid levels in processing and storage tanks, ensuring product quality and safety.

Pharmaceutical Manufacturing: Ideal for detecting liquid levels in production processes where hygiene and accuracy are critical, the Diaphragm Level Switch provides reliable performance.

Chemical Processing: The Diaphragm Level Switch is employed in various chemical applications to monitor corrosive and non-corrosive liquids in storage tanks.

Water Treatment: Ensures efficient liquid level management in water treatment facilities, helping maintain regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.

Oil and Gas Industry: Used for accurate level detection in separators, tanks, and storage containers, enhancing safety and optimizing process control.

HVAC Systems: The Diaphragm Level Switch is applied in cooling towers and condensate pans to monitor and control liquid levels, preventing overflow and ensuring reliable operation.

Operating Principle: Mechanical diaphragm activation based on liquid pressure

Material: Stainless steel (SS 304 or SS 316) for durability and corrosion resistance

Process Temperature Range: -20°C to +120°C (-4°F to +248°F), depending on model

Process Pressure Range: Up to 10 bar (145 psi), suitable for various applications

Power Supply: Typically 24 VDC or 110-240 VAC options

Output Signal: SPDT relay, PNP/NPN, or normally open (NO) / normally closed (NC) configurations

Response Time: Fast response time, typically <1 second

Mounting Options: Flange, threaded, or hygienic fittings for easy installation

Certifications: CE, UL, and RoHS compliant for safety and quality assurance

The Diaphragm Level Switch operates on the principle of pressure sensing through a flexible diaphragm. As the liquid level in a tank or vessel fluctuates, it applies pressure on the diaphragm. This pressure variation causes the diaphragm to flex, which subsequently activates a mechanical switch mechanism.

When the diaphragm is deflected by the liquid, it either opens or closes the electrical contacts within the switch, sending an output signal to indicate the level condition. The Diaphragm Level Switch can be configured to trigger at predetermined high or low levels, ensuring precise level control.

This design ensures reliable and accurate level detection while maintaining a sealed and hygienic environment. The Diaphragm Level Switch is widely used in industries such as food processing, pharmaceuticals, chemical processing, water treatment, and oil & gas, where stringent cleanliness and safety standards are essential.
